Obra basada en el poema de Mario López, poeta perteneciente al Grupo Cántico. La composición es una metáfora de la intimidad serena y madura. Sobre un fondo de tonos turquesa conviven los versos con fragmentos de Los pájaros negros (1958), de Georges Braque, y una pareja recostada sobre la hierba —tomada de la obra Adán y Eva, de Rosa Velasco—, recreando ese instante suspendido en el tiempo y el sosiego compartido que evoca el poema.
 
Te dije: “Mirar las nubes,
los dos solos, alejados
de estas gentes que precisan
bullicio por no sentirse
tan solos precisamente…”
 
Dije…y tú me lo recuerdas,
al cabo del tiempo, ahora
cuando ni tú ni yo somos
fugitivos de sí mismos
y solo necesitamos
para sentirnos felices
tan poca cosa: Estar solos
en cualquier sitio a la sombra
de cualquier árbol y oyendo
cantar bajo la dulzura
del cielo azul a los pájaros.
 
…Que antes nos faltaba algo
y ese algo era ser dignos
de estar tan acompañados
-uno en los brazos del otro-
como esta tarde mirando
dichosos pasar las nubes…

just the two of us, far away
from these people who need
noise to not feel
so alone, precisely…”
 
I said it… and you remind me,
after all this time, now,
when neither you nor I
are fugitives from ourselves

so little to feel happy:
To be alone
in any place, in the shade
of any tree, and listening
to the birds sing under the sweetness
of the blue sky.
 
…That before we lacked something
