Esta obra pertenece a la serie Anagnórisis, un proyecto centrado en la identidad y la transformación.
En Mimesis represento una figura femenina cuya indumentaria evoca el teatro y la representación, sin pertenecer a un personaje concreto. Esta ambigüedad plantea la identidad como una construcción formada por los numerosos papeles que interpretamos en la vida.
La obra plantea así una pregunta: ¿dónde termina el personaje y comienza el verdadero yo? Esta idea se extiende al propio lenguaje pictórico. Trabajo con una pintura muy fluida, mediante veladuras y texturas con las que expreso los conceptos de impermanencia y vacuidad.

In Mimesis, I depict a female figure whose attire evokes theatre and performance without belonging to any specific character. This ambiguity presents identity as a construct shaped by the many roles we play throughout our lives.
The work thus raises a question: where does the character end and the true self begin? This idea extends to the pictorial language itself. I work with highly fluid paint, using glazes and textures to express the concepts of impermanence and emptiness.
