En esta obra, Natalia Revelles transforma el poema de Mario López en una imagen etérea y vibrante. La figura femenina, inmersa en un fondo de azules y verdes fluidos, se funde con la naturaleza hasta convertirse en la gran flor “perpleja de sí misma”. El gesto de su mano, cubriendo parcialmente el rostro, evoca la introspección y el misterio del “negro espejo de oro” que describe el poeta.
 
La pintura fluida, característica de la artista, crea un entorno desbordante donde los girasoles parecen brotar y disolverse en el mismo instante, como “pétalos de salobre nostalgia” suspendidos en el tiempo.

In this artwork, Natalia Revelles transforms Mario López’s poem into an ethereal and vibrant image. The female figure, immersed in a background of fluid blues and greens, merges with nature until she becomes the great flower “perplexed by itself.” The gesture of her hand, partially covering her face, evokes the introspection and mystery of the “black mirror of gold” described by the poet.
 
The artist’s signature fluid painting style creates an overflowing environment where sunflowers seem to bloom and dissolve in the same instant, like “petals of briny nostalgia” suspended in time.
