DEER
This work invites a deep reflection on the human and the animal. In it, the subtlety of watercolor and drawing intertwines with the pictorial density of acrylic, creating a visual experience that appeals not only to perception but also to introspection. The deer-woman, as the central figure, is not merely a representation of the animal but a metaphor for human consciousness in its relationship with the natural world.
The features of the deer, presented in such a subtle and almost imperceptible way, invite the viewer to look beyond the surface, to perceive what is hidden in what seems insignificant or fleeting. The deer, a being so full of grace yet so deeply rooted in its environment, reflects the balance we seek as human beings: the ability to move with both lightness and depth, to integrate the essence of nature with the complexity of consciousness.
In this sense, the work goes beyond a simple representation of an animal or a human figure. The deer-woman symbolizes the process of transformation and adaptation, the fluidity between the human and the non-human, between the mind and the instincts, between reason and intuition. The softness of the watercolor, blended with the strength of the acrylic, speaks to the constant tension between these dualities. The watercolor, so light and ethereal, suggests a connection with the invisible, with that which cannot be easily grasped, while the acrylic, with its dense and enveloping texture, symbolizes concreteness, the tangible reality we are constantly shaping.
The work also suggests that beauty is not simply something to be observed, but something to be experienced and internalized. This portrait, therefore, is an invitation to look beyond the obvious, to touch the hidden truths that are only revealed when we transcend the limitations of our senses and open ourselves to a broader and more holistic understanding of existence.
