En esta obra reinterpreto el concepto clásico del Memento Mori a través del simbolismo figurativo. La pintura explora la fugacidad de la existencia, el ego y el peso del tiempo mediante el diálogo entre tres figuras femeninas:
La vida y el ego: Representados por una joven de estética romántica. Lleva una máscara de búho, pintada por separado sobre papel de acuarela e incorporada posteriormente a la composición. La máscara refuerza la idea de los roles que los seres humanos asumen mientras interpretan su papel en el teatro de la vida.
El tiempo: Encarnado por la segunda figura femenina, cuya mirada se dirige hacia el destino inevitable de la condición humana.
La muerte: Sostenida por la tercera mujer, la calavera actúa como símbolo central del Memento Mori, recordando la brevedad y fragilidad de todas las cosas.
Esta obra surge de una profunda reflexión filosófica. A través de su atmósfera mística y de una composición cuidadosamente construida, invito al espectador a contemplar sus propias preguntas sobre la impermanencia, la identidad y la mortalidad.

In this work, I reinterpret the classical concept of Memento Mori through figurative symbolism. The painting explores the transience of existence, the ego, and the weight of time through the dialogue between three female figures:
Life and the Ego: Represented by a young woman with a romantic aesthetic. She wears an owl mask, painted separately on watercolor paper and later incorporated into the composition. The mask reinforces the idea of the roles human beings assume as they perform their part in the theatre of life.
Time: Embodied by the second female figure, whose gaze is directed toward the inevitable destiny of the human condition.
Death: Held by the third woman, the skull serves as the central symbol of the Memento Mori, reminding viewers of the brevity and fragility of all things.
This artwork arises from a profound philosophical reflection. Through its mystical atmosphere and carefully constructed composition, I invite viewers to contemplate their own questions about impermanence, identity, and mortality.
