¿A quién rezamos?, 2026

Esta obra pertenece a la colección La Otra Dimensión. En ella reinterpreto la célebre escultura Apolo de Butrinto, del siglo VI a. C., como un símbolo atemporal de la necesidad perdurable del ser humano de creer en un poder superior.
A través de una paleta restringida, texturas expresivas y un equilibrio entre el realismo y la abstracción, la pieza reflexiona sobre la continuidad de la condición humana. Aunque las civilizaciones, las religiones y las culturas evolucionan, el anhelo de trascendencia y la búsqueda de protección frente al miedo a la muerte persisten como algunos de los impulsos más profundos y duraderos de la experiencia humana.

This work belongs to the The Other Dimension collection. In it, I reinterpret the renowned sculpture Apollo of Butrint, from the 6th century BC, as an timeless symbol of humanity’s enduring need to believe in a higher power.
Through a restricted palette, expressive textures, and a balance between realism and abstraction, the piece reflects on the continuity of the human condition. Although civilizations, religions, and cultures evolve, the longing for transcendence and the search for protection against the fear of death persist as some of the deepest and most enduring impulses of human experience.
